 AKC Gazette Column Duties and Guidelines

The AKC Gazette Breed Column for the Toy Group (Chihuahua) is written 4 times a year; March, June, September, December. Writer’s must meet the deadlines indicated using the designated guidelines. AKC sends the writer updated formal guidelines each year which need to be adhere to when writing their column. Writers must possess good knowledge of grammar, spelling, word usage and punctuation in Standard English.

The 500-600 word column should be on topics to inform readers concerning the full gamut of canine topics. Breed specific topics for the Chihuahua should be interesting and informative. Provide a copy of the article to the CCA President for approval prior to submitting to AKC.
